I am so thankful for this AMAZING opportunity to be able to put together a styled shoot through my photography Internship with Nichole Lauren Photography. Myself, Nichole and Haley all worked together to put this amazing dusty blue styled shoot together along side some amazing vendors.

Styled shoots are like a photographers playground, I had as much time as I needed to play with the invitation suite and rings to really style them creatively. The best way to describe a styled shoot is that its like a fake wedding, we have a real couple that models for us in a wedding dress and tux.

Photographers; styled shoots are great ways to connect with vendors and build your portfolio.

I asked some of our vendors for their feedback on this shoot, why they like to participate in styled shoots and the gallery I sent them. I want to share those here for you.

"Love love loved the day! I think it was very well organized and so much fun. Styled shoots are an amazing way to: 1) network with other wedding vendors, 2) showcase your skills and artistry without the confinements of a bride’s budget, and 3) play with ideas. It does take a significant amount of time and resources to prepare for a styled shoot, but I have always ended up with fresh new images to use for social media, inspiration for future projects, new peers to work with, and great exposure! "Participating in the styled shoot was a really cool way to get a behind the scenes look into all the hard work that goes into making a styled shoot successful. I was honestly surprised at the time it took to shoot each area - it was almost longer than a regular wedding, which is a testament to the level of detail included in the shoot. I really liked getting to watch the different items be "styled" in order to get the best image (ie the invitations, rings, details..). I thought the images turned out really nice and it was exciting to see my cookies styled to tie together with the rest of the shoot. While this was my first styled shoot, I enjoyed participating in it because it seemed to allow everyone to be creative and take risks in their craft, without the pressure of adhering to a specific client-designated set of guidelines."-Elizabeth with Liz Made Cookies
